A large French gilt bronze mantel clock with an allegory of love, 19th C.

51,5 x 38,3 x 13 cm

On top decorated with a Cupid and a lady writing a letter with the poetic words 'On t'aime et l'on te fuit'.

Condition: (UV-checked)

- The mantel clock in good condition. 

- The springs tested with a (missing) key and tension is present.

- The gilding with the usual wear, tear and traces of use.

- One of the legs of the tripod stand broken.

- Dial with a very minor scratch (no protection glass).

- Backside not protected.
