A pair of French gold layered yellow ground vases in the Sèvres manner with scenes of the War of the First Coalition by Chanèle, 19th C.

Both roundels signed Chanèle. One roundel depicting the battle of Fleurus (1794) and the other one the battle of Rivoli (1797). The French took the lead in both battles.

Both backs decorated with an imperial eagle.

The cover with a 'Porcelaines d'art Chanèle' label and a blue upperglaze mark.

A larger but quite similar pair with the battles of Rivoli (1797) and Wagram (1809) was sold in 2019 (New York, Helios Auctions, 28 September 2019, lot 27; link).
