Most probably biscuit de Sèvres. The prototype of this sculpture was made by Dumont in 1786 (link). 

 

Provenance: The base with an old collection number. 

 

Condition: (UV-checked)

- The central scene in good condition.

- The marble base with some negligible chips and the column with a minor chip at the reverse.

- The heart-shaped wreath of flowers around the couple with some discrete broken leaves.

- The laurel wreath on the man's head broken and missing.

- The biscuit sculpture reattached to the base.
