The cabinet is composed of a straight, high-rectangular body, flanked by wide, sloping corner pilaster strips with female caryatids and lush flowers in raised relief on a wide frame made of rolled volutes and stylized paw feet with mascarons.
There are four secret doors on the side. The writing tablet on the front can be folded down and rest on the two doors beelow, with elaborate inlaid decoration made of different floral arrangements.
Behind the doors are four drawers with a rich Boulle decoration of lavish leaf volutes, herms placed against each other and various putti.
Behind the central tablet however, we find the true beauty of this exceptional piece of furniture. Architecturally designed interior divisions with Gothic arches, inlaid coat of arms motifs and various noblemen and -women.
