Ledeberg is a hamlet of the merged municipality of Roosdaal. It is located in the sub-municipality of Pamel and owes its name to the "witness hill," which was already inhabited in prehistoric times.

The hill was the residence of the lords of Ledeberg and Pamel. The castle was the last settlement in Brabant before reaching Flanders. The castle was mentioned between 1164 and 1290. It was situated in the middle of a beech forest on the Ledeberg hill, a short distance from "De Dries," where four major roads converge. The castle was surrounded by the fief of the lords of Ledeberg, dependent on the lords of Grimbergen, who were also lords of Ninove. Over time, the castle was demolished, making way for the well-known girls' boarding school, the St. Apollonia Chapel, and the Ledeberg Forest. The St. Apollonia Church, mentioned as early as the 12th century, is located on the Ledeberg hill.
