The sculpture marked with the foundry mark of the Gladenbeck foundry 'Akt. Ges. v. H. Gladenbeck u. Sohn'. (Aktien-Gesellschaft)

A later cast after the large bronze 'Fencer' sculpture from 1902/04 for the fountain on the Universitätsplatz Breslau (link).

Condition: (UV-checked)

- The sculpture in good condition, with the normal superficial wear and minor traces of use.

- The corners of the marble base with negligible to very minor chips.

- The oak leaf is not easy to remove. It is probably a later addition to hide damage to the male genital organ.
