A French Louis XV armchair 'en cabriolet' with floral design and velvet upholstery, stamped E. Meunier, 18th C.

The armchair two times stamped 'E. Meunier' (with an inverted N). Etienne Meunier became master in 1732. He flourished in the Rue de Cléry around the middle of the reign of Louis XV. He had business relations with fashionable merchants such as Pierre Migeon, supplier to the Court, and Étienne Igou (Rue du Faubourg Saint-Antoine).
