The prototype of the Maitreya in meditation or contemplative Bodhisattva is believed to have been made in the early 7th C. and is recognized by the South Korean government as National Treasure of Korea No. 83, adding exceptional artistic, cultural and historical value to the country (link).

Condition: In good condition, with normal minor superficial wear throughout and some aging and superficial wear to the gilding.
