Agnes of Burgundy (1407 – 1 December 1476), duchess of Bourbon (Bourbonnais) and Auvergne, countess of Clermont, was the daughter of John the Fearless (1371–1419) and Margaret of Bavaria. Her maternal grandparents were Albert I, duke of Bavaria and Margaret of Brieg. Her paternal grandparents were Philip the Bold and Margaret III, countess of Flanders.

Several parallels can be drawn between the statue and the weepers of Isabella's tomb, attributed to the Borman Workshop and Renier van Thienen, and nowadays part of the Rijksmuseum Collection (link).

Added a copy of the radiocarbon dating certificate by Brussels Art Laboratory (Brussels, 18 November 2010): the sample gives a calibrate age range of 1299-1407.
