The French aristocrat Henry de Daillon (ca. 1622-1685), Marquis of Illiers and Bouillé, Baron of Briançon and Lord of Pontgibaud, Governor of the castles of Saint-Germain and Versailles, First Gentleman of the King's Chamber, Superintendent General of Gunpowder and Saltpeter, and Grand Master of the Artillery of France (1669) was created Duke of Le Lude in 1675 (link).
