Een Belgische 'August De Waele' chromatische accordeon met knopklavier, ca. 1915

1097

H 42 - L 39,3 - D 22,5 cm

Provenance:

- Part of the internationally renowned collection Charles Maeyaert (1934-2022): Charles Maeyaert received his accordion training with Wilfried Danneels in Bruges. Afterwards, he took lessons with Pierre Kindt. During his military service, he and his twin brother François started an orchestra, The Supplies, with which they took part in international and national competitions. Afterwards, the accordion disappears for a while, only to fully focus on his accordion career from 1985 onwards. In the years that followed, he created a collection of accordions that has hardly any equal.
