Roger Bracke was a draftsman-watercolourist and sculptor, trained at the Ghent Academy (1932-1938). In 1949 he became a teacher of drawing and handicrafts at the Atheneum in Lokeren and only later became an independent sculptor. He was also honorary member of the Accademia Internazionale Tommaso Campanelle in Rome (link).
