The original design by Reiche is preserved in the Cabinet des Estampes in Paris: modelled as Urania, the muse of astronomy, studying a celestial globe surrounded by attributes representing the sciences.

The dial marked 'Hunziker à Paris'.
The work inscribed with the numbers '5' and '55'.

Condition: (UV-checked)
- The mantel clock in very good condition, with the usual superficial wear, especially to the globe. Fine quality.
- The dial with minor traces of use. One hand missing.
- The springs tested and tension is present (key also present).
- Negligible chips to the vert de mer marble base.
- Protective glass at the back missing.
